What is AI and Machine Learning ?

Many of us might be encounter this term before by any means, but only some of us have any idea about this latest buzz around. So here we will go some deep dive into these trending technology-related words, and also we will see some important information about this emerging technology.
As we all know that AI i.e. "Artificial Intelligence" this term was first coined by John McCarthy in 1956 at his first academic conference. Oh, can you guys just believe in the fact that this guy was too much ahead of his time?, but yes the journey of AI till now was not that much simple and easy. The main advances over the past sixty years have been advances in search algorithms, machine learning algorithms by which we can implement above this technology to change the future. In my opinion, we are very lucky that we are living in this era and believe me guys, we will be the first in the human race to experience the difference between life before this and after this.
Before we discuss more AI and ML (machine learning), let me give you an introduction about these terms. AI is a broader picture, the system or any kind of device having some human-like decision-making capability, in general terms, we can call it as it is having AI in it. The AI is used everywhere to describe the thing that there is something in that which will work some specific task automatically based on some kind of things like previous knowledge, likely and unlikely events or by some training and much more. So this kind of task has been designed and developed by using some algorithms. These algorithms empower that system to be able to accomplish the task and make our life simpler. And this where the Data Science part comes into the picture to which is absolutely a part of the process to achieve AI and for those which are not familiar with this term "Data Science" is the name indicate itself, it is the science of data, where we can play with data as we were playing with the classical science in our academics. The data science is the study of data by which we can understand, explain and somewhat manipulate the data to make a meaningful idea from it. In the data science if we get deep into the training and making machines more intelligent and make them able to perform some required task is 'Machine Learning'.
Which Algorithm to use in which conditions and how to deploy and install it with the current system are all parts of ML. And these above terms are well-defined jobs which we will discuss in later blogs that what kind of role and responsibility of a particular person in this kind of project. One thing I also want to add here that in AI systems most important part is algorithms, which can be studied and build using the Deep Learning and Neural Network. This deep learning is itself a large neural network. Deep learning is working on neural network, means a network of neurons like in a human brain, and these neurons create some layers depending on the layers this NN is capable to do complex decision-making tasks. About deep learning, it is a huge topic which we can cover in later blogs.
You might have seen some Venn diagram about this closely related terms given above. Some of them are different from each other so you can get some idea from that by reading above, as per my understanding the diagram is given below.
In later blogs, we will get into in more depth as we will cover these topics separately. The main advantage in the progress of AI is that in today's era we are producing and consuming data much more than the previous few years, and this becomes possible just because of the technology that we were using from past years. At the start of the blog as I was telling you that we are 'lucky', why because we born in this era where we can see a clear picture of the process of development of AI. Then we can say AI is not a new thing or a different one, it is just a next chain of part of advancement in technology and science.
